Entering the world of the catalyst – 50 Conversations with Catalysts
The One Leadership Project is about enabling the people creating a sustainable, healthier, happier future.
We know that it will be a big help to catalysts and those supporting them if more was made public about what it is like to be a catalyst. There is no world shortage in ‘how to’ advice for getting things done. The challenge we hear so often is about the human experience of such leadership; the ‘inner’ journey that being catalytic requires. So that catalysts globally can know they are not alone, that others have faced the issues they face, that others are sharing inspirational thoughts and ideas that can help. And so that the employers and organisations wanting to support catalytic leadership can find out more about how their support can be most effective.
So we are going deep into the experience of being a catalyst by talking with 50 catalysts in profound, honest, thought-provoking conversations. We are exploring questions like:
- What is it like to be a catalyst?
- What keeps you going?
- What have you learnt from the journey of being a catalyst so far?
- Where do you go for community, inspiration and support?
- How does an organisation attract, engage and enable catalytic leadership?
- What would you most like to share with other catalysts?
This research links to our articles in Coaching at Work magazine, about the role coaching and mentoring has in helping the people who are making the world a better place. It is part of the escalating ‘Discovery’ work the project is undertaking. We are currently discussing this potentially ground-breaking research with partner organisations to ensure its support, reach and cascading of findings.
